Candidate – Civilian director (one to be elected): Entwistle, Cameron

Cameron Entwistle has been a Special Constable with OPS for over 14 years working at both Courthouse and Central Cells.  He has always been an approachable person and looks for solutions.

Cameron is running for the Civilian Director position, as he wants to be a part of the OPA Team that finds answers and works towards solutions to the questions posed by the membership. He is familiar with the upcoming amendments to the Police Services Act and how it will impact the membership. Cameron is aware of the challenges of the Civilian Job Evaluation Committee and the importance of continuous and relevant Job Descriptions as civilian roles and positions change and become more complex.  Cameron recently revised the Job Description for Special Constables ensuring the scope of their duties were better reflected, ensuring an accurate and effective Job Evaluation.
Cameron is currently married to Carleigh, who has been a sworn officer for 15 years, they have two wonderful children together.  He is aware of the challenges and struggles that the civilian and sworn membership face in the world of policing, while maintaining the demands of home and family life.

Cameron has given his time over the years being involved in such things as:

  • Fundraising for the benevolent fund.
  • Volunteering during the St. Patricks Day Parades.
  • Cops and Cowboys Special Olympics Fundraising.
  • Capital City Condors Hockey – Special Needs Hockey Program.

Cameron is currently married to Carleigh, who has been a sworn officer for 15 years, they have two wonderful children together.  He is aware of the challenges and struggles that the civilian and sworn membership face in the world of policing, while maintaining the demands of home and family life.
