Barmak Anvari began his policing career in the Greater Toronto Area with the Toronto Police Service in 2001. He returned home to the Nation’s Capital in 2008 where he worked Central and West Division Patrol. Seconded to South Sudan in 2012 with the R.C.M.P. Barmak became a conflict resolution consultant with the United Nations. He was elected to the OPA Board of Directors in December 2016 and is committed to giving all members representation and a voice with their Association.
